High Meadows School is home to 350 students in Pre-K through eighth grade situated on over 40 pristine acres in Roswell, Georgia. We are a private, non-profit, non-sectarian school with an emphasis on learning through inquiry and experience, making meaningful connections, embracing diversity, and stewarding the natural environment. We are an International Baccalaureate World School, offering the Primary Years Programme in preschool through fifth grade. Our outstanding Middle Years Program celebrates and promotes each child's intellectual potential and innate capacity to empathize, collaborate, and serve others. Our graduates go on to the best public and private high schools in Atlanta, and they thrive well beyond school to become extraordinary global citizens.

Small Acts of Kindness. Big Impact.

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful High Meadows students and families who stayed after school yesterday to make special treats for animals in local shelters!

At High Meadows, we believe learning extends far beyond the classroom. Through experiences like these, our students put compassion into action, demonstrate care for the world around them, and discover that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference.

Thank you to everyone who shared their time, energy, and caring hearts to help make the world a little brighter for animals awaiting their forever homes. This is the High Meadows spirit in action!

Because we encourage and empower our students to be compassionate, responsible, and active global citizens, The Sandwich Project received 182 sandwiches from 18 of our 4th and 5th grade student volunteers. High Meadows families provided the ingredients, and the students provided the assembled sandwiches! Thank you to our families, students, and The Sandwich Project for coming together to support neighbors in need. We’re grateful for what we can accomplish when we come together!

Being a risk-taker is part of the IB Learner Profile and last week, Ben, our Interim Head of School, showed our 4th and 5th graders how it’s done!

Learning, Leading, & Giving Back

On Friday, our 8th graders visited the Star House Foundation at Esther Jackson Elementary School, continuing a longstanding partnership that gives our students the opportunity to put their learning and leadership into action right here in their Roswell community.

Our first visit was all about introductions, connection, and play – forming the foundation for relationships that will grow throughout the year. During future visits, our 8th graders will draw on the skills they’ve developed at High Meadows as they assist with tutoring, serve as role models and mentors, practice leadership, and, most importantly, simply show up as caring and encouraging friends.

This is learning beyond the classroom at its best: building relationships, serving others, and discovering that leadership often begins by simply showing up. We can’t wait to see where these new friendships lead! Thanks to Esther Jackson and Star House Foundation for this amazing partnership!

Families, alumni, and alumni families—come home to the Meadow tonight!

Grab your picnic, blankets, chairs, and favorite people, and join us from 5:00–7:00 p.m. for an evening of music, yard games, laughter, catching up with old friends, making new ones, and simply enjoying being together at High Meadows.

Buddies Today. Friends for Years.

One of the things we love most about High Meadows is watching relationships grow across our campus, and our Buddy Program is a wonderful example!

Our older students are paired with younger students to serve as role models, mentors, and, most importantly, friends. Throughout the year, buddies visit one another’s classrooms, share lunch and Meadow time, enjoy story time and other learning moments, and simply become a familiar, friendly face around campus.

Monday marked the beginning of so many new buddy connections, and we can’t wait to watch these friendships grow throughout the year—and perhaps for years to come!

Alumni, we want to hear from you! Do you remember who your High Meadows buddy was? Better yet, are you still in touch?

Tonight at High Meadows!

Join us tonight at 6:00 p.m. in Meadow Hall for a FREE community event as we welcome award-winning author, educator, and longtime High Meadows friend Mark Warren back to campus!

Mark will share a special presentation and celebrate the release of his newest book, A Dance in the Devil’s Rain. With 17 years of his remarkable career spent right here at High Meadows, this promises to be a wonderful evening of stories, learning, and connection.
