steam week at bloom work & play has been full of creativity, problem solving, and fun! 💡🧩✨
this week we are exploring science, technology, engineering, art, and math and how these skills connect to everyday life, future careers, and new opportunities for our bloomers.
one of our favorite challenges was building with legos from castles to houses and everything in between and our bloomers did not disappoint! it’s always so special to watch them express themselves, work together, and bring their ideas to life in such creative ways. 💛

At bloom, we believe every young adult deserves the chance to explore, discover, and grow in ways that honor their unique strengths and interests. 💡🧡
Because when learning is inclusive, everyone blooms. 🌱✨
cooking at bloom doesn’t start with the recipe… it starts in the small skills that lead up to cooking. from learning how to safely use knives, to different kitchen tools and appliances to cleaning up after ourselves… we’re practicing every step! Plus everyone tries at least one bite of whatever we make 😉

Above and Beyond ✨
The heart of our program is community, and our teachers lead by example every day.
Our bloomers are learning how to care for one another through the small but meaningful moments they see modeled daily… helping friends with lunchboxes, guiding peers to activities, reading together, holding doors open, keeping pathways clear, and making sure no one feels overwhelmed or left out.
Watching our chattiest friends check in with nonverbal peers or seeing someone step in to help without being asked reminds us how powerful positive role models can be. Confidence, kindness, and compassion grow when they are practiced together every day. 💕
We’re bugging out over bugs 🐛🐞🐜🪲🪳
This week at bloom we’re learning all about bugs. Using sign language, eating ants on a log, and making our own bugs in art! Stay tuned for more buggy updates😍
