Get ready for a night to remember! 💫 Light Up the Night is an unforgettable evening created especially for adults with disabilities to celebrate, connect, dance, create, and make memories with friends. 💙

🌱✨ Our garden is BLOOMING with life! ✨🌱

We slowed down and explored the garden using all five senses… taking in the colors, textures, sounds, smells, and even a few garden-fresh tastes along the way. 🌿🍅

The dragonflies decided to join us (and even landed on a few friends! 🥹), we picked marigolds to create a beautiful bouquet for bloom 🌼💐, and our watermelon is absolutely thriving! 🍉💚

There’s so much to discover when we slow down, get curious, and experience the world around us. 🌻

No coordinated outfits. No theme day. Just friends somehow showing up on the exact same wavelength. ✨

🎨🌿 Confidence, creativity, and community were blooming this week! 💗

We had so much fun exploring creativity in all kinds of ways while learning more about our friends, their interests, and what makes each person unique. From trying new things to spending plenty of time outside, there were so many opportunities to explore, connect, and express ourselves. ✨

At bloom work & play, creativity is about more than making something. It’s about building confidence, discovering what you enjoy, sharing it with others, and feeling connected to your community. 🌸

🎨✨ Learning through art!

bloom had the opportunity to visit a local art exhibit, where we practiced important community and social skills in a museum setting! Everyone worked on using appropriate museum etiquette, navigating a shared public space, and engaging respectfully with others.

We also put our observation skills to work by slowing down, looking closely at different pieces, noticing details, and sharing what caught our attention. 🖼️🔎

Community outings like this give us the chance to practice real world skills while exploring new interests and experiences together. 💗

🎨✨ Art Week is officially underway at bloom work & play!

We kicked off the week by letting our bloomers put their creativity to work! Each bloomer created their own unique art project using at least three different art tools, giving everyone the opportunity to explore different materials, mediums, and ways to create. 🖌️✂️🖍️

From experimenting with new tools to making their own creative choices, this activity was all about self-expression, exploration, and having fun with the process. There’s no “right” way to make art, and we love seeing each bloomer’s personality shine through their creations! 💗🌈

We can’t wait to see what else Art Week inspires! 🎨✨
