Atlanta Workshop Players AWP is a 501(c)(3) non profit. AWP has a vast array of amazing classes, workshops and events for bot So that's what we do. That's what AWP is all about.

What Inspired AWP:

With wondrous good fortune, our Executive Director Lynn Stallings became the child of Fred & Nancy Wright who were remarkable examples of how to live in harmony with all on the planet. They bravely shaped history, impacting the arts, the environment, world peace, civil rights & family. Doing what's right, often at their own expense, giving us what all humans deserve: love, Attention, Values, Kindness, Purpose, Opportunity to know & love people of all races, religions, economic classes, levels of education & varying abilities. Teaching us to respect humanity; respect life & how to face challenges with love & humor. In their honor, this company will change the world, they showed us how. The Atlanta Workshop Players (AWP) is a non profit organization that has spent 36 years interweaving social themes in all of it's programs, to encourage people to treat each other well. If you can teach people to hate...you can certainly teach people to love.

Beyond the artistic training, what is the most significant value you’ve seen AWP instill in others?

“Community is key. You can have all the talent in the world, but nothing is as valuable as finding a group of humans you want to spend & share time with.” -Jason Lockhart, Owner, Head of TV/Film, and Agent at AMT on the magic that AWP provides it’s community!

Jason is one of AWP’s 45th Anniversary Gala Hosts!!! He is a frequent collaborator, teacher, mentor, and Agent of MANY AWP clients! His continued passion for the arts and the wellbeing of each individual human is such a cherished trait that keeps AWP bringing this incredible man around!

We can’t wait to celebrate with Jason and all of YOU!!!

There’s nothing quite like the energy of a room filled with passionate, eager-to-learn artists! 🎭✨

Acting is a craft rooted in vulnerability. Stepping into space, taking risks, and laying your emotions on the line takes real courage. That’s why showing up for yourself, week after week, is paramount to your growth and performance as an artist. Continuous training is where confidence is built, technique is sharpened, and true creative breakthroughs happen.

At AWP, we LOVE a classroom full of creatives! ❤️

The Pro level classes tackled a highly emotional scene in class this week set inside a burning building. Don created a remarkable set out of pieces of the studio for them to work with during class!

Video Interns, Mason and Grant were there to shoot the scenes! This is Don doing the post class reset, back to Studio 13’s every day vibe!

Great work team, can’t wait to see all of your hard work on video!
