GATEWAY CHRISTIAN DOMINATES PINEHILL IN 45–0 SHUTOUT

Friday, September 18—Roswell, NM

Gateway Christian delivered a statement win on Friday afternoon, overwhelming the Pinehill Warriors in a 45–0 rout that showcased explosive offense, relentless defense, and playmakers stepping up at every level.

From the opening whistle, Gateway seized control and never let go. WR Josiah Fontanez ( #24) set the tone early and never cooled off, putting together a highlight‑reel performance with three total touchdowns — two receiving scores and a punishing punt‑return touchdown that electrified the home crowd.

Quarterback Kalab Berry ( #3) orchestrated the offense with confidence and precision, stacking up three touchdown passes while adding a rushing touchdown of his own. His command of the field kept Pinehill on its heels all evening.

In the backfield, RB Jonathon Torres ( #2) delivered a gritty, all‑purpose performance. Torres punched in a rushing touchdown, converted a two‑point attempt, and made his presence felt defensively with two fumble recoveries, both of which halted Pinehill drives before they could gain momentum.

Gateway’s receiving corps continued to shine as WR Anthem Russell ( #23) hauled in a touchdown, adding to the offensive avalanche. RB Derek Andrews ( #22) capped off the scoring with a strong rushing touchdown, powering through defenders to extend the lead.

Defensively, Gateway was suffocating — shutting out Pinehill, forcing turnovers, and controlling field position throughout the game. Every unit contributed, and the Warriors never allowed Pinehill to find rhythm or daylight.

With the 45–0 victory, Gateway Christian sends a clear message: they’re disciplined, explosive, and dangerous on both sides of the ball.
