Gateway is a private college preparatory school offering Christian based education in a warm and loving atmosphere. Gateway Christian School (GCS) has been educating students in Southeastern New Mexico since 1981. Our certified, knowledgeable teachers are committed to teaching and training students in a well-disciplined and protected environment. Gateway Christian School is an extension of Gateway

Church International; an interdenominational faith based family church. We are located on 54 acres west of Roswell with multiple facilities.

Our 4th graders had a great time in math today! Mrs. Davis” class practiced place value with a fun game of SCOOT!

Students moved around the room dancing from card to card while solving different place-value problems. We practiced identifying the value of digits, recognizing place values, writing numbers in standard, expanded, and word form, and comparing numbers.

Congrats to GCS fifth grader, Apple!

Over the summer Apple competed in the 2026 National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships in California and brought home a top ten finish in the discus!

We had an amazing time hosting the 1k/3k blast for students in grades three to eight. Around 130 students from the local area came out to compete!

After supporting and guiding the younger participants along the course, our varsity cross country team kicked off their season with a friendly scrimmage against nearby high schools.

Today our teachers were commissioned and prayed over at the Gateway Church for the 2026/2027 school year. They were charged to teach and train our students academically but more importantly to impart God to the generation they are leading. We are so blessed and excited for this team of teachers and staff to lead our students this school year! Gateway Church Roswell
