For those of you that don’t know, does more than just take badass photos. He’s a hard charger within the industry and recently started his own holster brand, There’s a lot of simple innovation in his design that doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel, but improves upon and enhances the things that are already proven to work. Being able to add a CAT-7 tourniquet to an IWB holster without having to add more kydex or purchase additional accessories while keeping it concealable in a small footprint reduces bulk and weight, and increases both comfort and capability.

Josh just put out an email today that talks about one of my favorite things… TRAINING. I am grateful that he thinks highly enough about our cold standard target and drill to include it in that email alongside some other great info put out by awesome instructors. If you’re not already subscribed to their email list, hit the link below and do so, and also checkout their products and learn more about what makes them a solid option. I’ll try to convince Josh to resend that email next week for anyone that missed it because he covers a ton of great points.
—
I’m not trying to influence you to stop what you’re doing and go buy a holster right now. What I am asking is that when you’re ready to make your next holster purchase to keep Josh and Roque Concepts in mind. They make some outstanding products with excellent QC, fit/finish, and are backed with some of the best customer service you’ll find anywhere.
—
Roque Concepts will also have a booth setup at where you can come checkout and demo some of their holsters, and you can listen to Josh do a much better job talk about his company and his holsters than I am.

Night Ops Summit 2022 Recap
—
Summarized, Night Ops Summit is easily one of the best weekends of training and camaraderie that exists within our community anywhere in the country. Don Edwards, Sam Houston, and the rest of the team, along with a few other world-class instructors, put on an incredible weekend packed with knowledge and value for everyone in attendance, from the shooters to the sponsors. I was highly impressed by how well they executed their inaugural event, and based on that, I know this is going to grow into one of the premiere, must-attend annual training events going forward.
—
Arriving at for the first time is like walking into a scene from your favorite post-apocalyptic movie. It’s a massive decommissioned nuclear site turned training venue, and it is nothing short of awesome knowing that you’re about to spend the next three days and nights shooting there. The on-site lodging was affordable and made life easy, especially when factoring in the cost of travel, ammo, training, and anything else that you may need to purchase or rent in order to attend. It’s not The Ritz, but it was perfect for what it was. The catering that was provided was hands down the best food I’ve ever had at a multi-day training event, and one of the highlights of the weekend.
—
Each day started off with a safety brief and a friendly reminder from to scan your QR code (IYKYK). From there attendees were given the opportunity to attend lectures in the dining facility put on by the instructors. This was really cool because it gave everyone the opportunity to learn from all of the instructors, including the ones that they wouldn’t be training with. Sponsors were centrally located and set up inside of a tent with plenty of products on display and available to purchase, with other sponsors on the range running demos and competitions such as and ****ms_depot . There was plenty of swag to be given away, prizes to be won, and raffle items to benefit .

ORD 2022 RECAP
—
I suck at social media, so I’m a couple weeks late to posting this. This was my second year attending and it did not disappoint. ORD is definitely a benchmark for what a great community-based training event should be, and Rick and his team at did a great job bringing together a strong and diverse group of instructors, sponsors, and attendees to create a safe and fun training environment.
—
Getting back up to Ohio to reconnect with all of the friends made at ORD 2021 was awesome, but what made this year even better for me was being able to share it with so many of my local friends that I’ve met through the training community over the past year.
—
Day 1 - Trained with Zach and Charlie from .consulting in their NVG Carbine course. These two dudes have forgotten more information than we could ever hope to learn, and even in the short amount of time we had together, shared some seriously great knowledge.
—
Day 2 - Trained with Billy from in his Advanced Performance Pistol course. I took a ton away from his class, and also appreciate Brennan taking the time to help out and share some solid info that led to pretty immediate and tangible performance gains.
—
A couple quick shoutouts to some solid people and businesses. I placed a very last minute ammo order with and they had it overnighted to me. Grind Hard was our very first affiliate, and I’m thankful for such a solid and ongoing relationship. and for answering all of my night vision questions and bringing out a couple options for me to checkout. and y’all already know.
—
I hope to see this event continue to grow and positively impact others within our community for years to come.

Had the pleasure of working with an outstanding group of officers this weekend at the Blue Pistol training event at Governors Gun Club in Kennesaw, Georgia.
—
Blue Pistol provided a full day of free training to actively serving members of our local law enforcement communities. The officers that showed up did so on their own time, some using their personal ammunition, motivated and ready to train.
—
I’m extremely proud of the progress made by everyone in our group. We cut lunch short and ended well after our scheduled time to ensure that we trained to a standard and not to a clock. I can’t speak highly enough about these guys. They put in work and were hard chargers all day.
—
A big thank you to for hosting this event, and for providing lunch. Thank you for donating your time to come out and teach another group of solid officers. Thank you for supporting this event and showing up early to provide coffee for everyone in attendance.
—
Grateful for the opportunity to transfer knowledge to those protecting and serving our communities.
—
Be on the lookout for Blue Carbine coming up this fall.
