Ridgeland High School Alumni Meeting Notes from- 8/29/24

We held an alumni meeting on Thursday, August 29th, with excitement and ideas. We plan to host the next meeting on the last Thursday, September 26th, at 6:30 p.m. at Ridgeland High School. Our goal is to have a recurring meeting on the last Thursday of every month except for holidays. Below are the discussion points.
• Create a new Alumni Registration form and Jennifer Morrison (c/o 00) will contact Rossville High Association for their form.
• Work with RHS so that the alumni can begin collecting 10.00 per year in alumni dues. The goal is to register 500 alumni this academic year.
• Research Cash App/Venmo set up for the RHS association.
• Locate the original by-laws, objectives, mission, registration forms, etc. of the Alumni Association from its establishment.
• Revive the RHS alumni scholarships for eligible graduating seniors.
• Obtain ideas for donations, sponsorship, and vendor support. Ideas discussed volunteer with Chattanooga Lookouts, Contact former alumni for donations & sponsorships.
• Concern about the lack of membership participation in meetings, the idea was to add a Zoom/virtual option for those interested but unable to attend in person.
• Elect new board members
• Ideas to host an All-class reunion at every Homecoming to include but not limited to tailgating. This would not take the place of the individual class reunions. Also, we discussed an all-class roll call at Homecoming before the game before the games.
Next meeting objectives:
• Bring the bi-laws and documentation from the Alumni Association artifacts.
• Have a registration form created and discussed for distribution.
• Create a table for the Alumni Association to set up at ball games for membership registrations.

If you are an Alumni from Ridgeland High School, Chattanooga Valley High School or Rossville High School, you are invite to come to our Homecoming Game on Oct. 8th @ 7:30 PM at Bower and Painter Field. Hello All,
I started tra telling with my job and others children grew and as they finished school our alumni committee fell to the wayside. If anyone wants to start fresh, I will always try to help if I can.
