We're happy to announce that we have some summer camp scholarships to give out. Funds are currently available to support partial scholarships for campers who are North Carolina Residents currently in high school and have not yet attended a camp at PARI.

The calendar for the North Carolina Science Festival is live. Not only is PARI hosting an open house for the festival, but there are fantastic things going on throughout the state during the whole month of April!

Birds have a variety of adaptations of their feathers, beaks and wings that help them to hunt, hide, eat and fly. Learn about a variety of these adaptations with a series of games and challenges. Could you be a bird? This program is for ages 7-14. Pre-registration is required.

Today, we celebrate the brilliant minds breaking barriers and inspiring future generations. Let’s honor the trailblazers who paved the way with their courage and passion for discovery.

You can meet one of these amazing women, Pranvera Hyseni, on February 27th at the Catawba Science Center. A Ph.D. candidate at UC Santa Cruz, Hyseni’s research focuses on understanding on the formation histories of asteroids, comets, and meteorites through spectroscopy analysis. She even has an asteroid named after her!

It doesn't look like North Carolina is on the list at the moment, but there is a chance of Aurora throughout a large part of the US tonight, so keep your eyes open.

Auroras may be visible from Alaska to Colorado tonight as an incoming coronal mass ejection is forecast to impact within 24 hours.
