Western Highlands conference championships today at Madison. The weather was beautiful and the course was way tough and more like a trail run but our girls did great. Very proud of each girl and their contributions this season.

The results from our home meet yesterday were fantastic!
Our middle schoolers rocked it! Girls team finished in second (Berklee Glover), third (Nikki Ceron) and fourth (Audrina Chapman). While our lone boy, Graham Morris, finished fifth overall. These young runners are showing great progress and getting faster each week.

High school ladies finished in ninth (Lexa Lavery) and fourteenth (Kaitlyn Simmons). Again, both girls have improved their race times and they’re showing grit and determination.

I am VERY proud of this group of kids for putting in grueling miles each afternoon. They’ve endured hot temperatures, blisters, gnats (so many gnats), soreness, and all the other terrible parts that come along with distance running. Their dedication and pride is unmatched!

We missed Keira Sullivan and Ella McNeely this week and Jordan McCall had to withdraw yesterday for an injury but we hope to have them all back running very soon. Way to go Tigers!

First practice is tomorrow August 1, rain or shine. Meet at the field house parking lot at 4:30 dressed ready to run. Please make sure you have a water bottle and your dragon fly account is updated.

We're excited about the upcoming season. Our first official practice will be August 1 at 4:30 pm. We'll meet at the field house parking lot. All student athletes must have a current physical and your DragonFly account updated to practice.
Good running shoes, shorts, and a water bottle are all you need for cross country. All experience levels are encouraged to participate. Please reach out with any questions. Go Tigers!

Saturday Nov. 4th Will be the NCHSAA Cross Country State Championship.
After a dominating performance at Regionals our Men's team will compete at 2pm at the Ivey Redmond Complex in Kernersville, NC.

Best of Luck to our Men's Team:
Leo Murray, Keaton Campbell, Avan Hinkle, Max Bailey, Ezra Stubbs, James Brooks, Andrew Gorman, & Noah McLauchlin.

Abigail Huter and Lila Laughridge will represent the Lady Blue Devils as individual runners.
