We are committed to facilitating growth socially and intellectually through a program that builds confidence, self esteem, and a love of learning.
The Roslyn Co-op is a non-sectarian, parent cooperative preschool that provides high quality education in a warm, nurturing environment. The Co-op offers a strong balance between academics and play where children are educated through developmentally appropriate methods, using their hands and bodies to experience and learn. Classrooms are filled with stimulating activities and interactive tools thr
ough which children develop the important foundational skills necessary for success in reading and writing. Our school is licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services and registered with the New York State Education Department. We offer programs for ages 2 through 4, Universal Pre-K, enrichment and extended day. Our professionally trained teachers are of the highest quality. They consistently attend conferences and workshops to guarantee that current theory and approaches are incorporated into their curriculum. We are proud to be a cooperative preschool, where parent’s participation is valued and input is welcomed. Approximately once a month, the participating parent shares a healthy snack with the class, assists with classroom activities and observes first hand their child's growth and enthusiasm. To help promote communication and a strong connection between home and school, our director writes a weekly Friday Note to all parents. This note contains information regarding classroom curriculum, child development, school activities and contains a professionally written article on a topic relating to early childhood development. At the Coop, we are committed to facilitating growth socially, emotionally, creatively, intellectually, and physically with a program that builds confidence, self-esteem, and a love of learning for each child.
