Tonight, I had the opportunity to speak to the Board of Education, along with some of my team members, on behalf of the Roslyn Speech and Debate Team. I cannot express how thankful I am for the opportunity to have this club in our school, for all the people who have made my past 4 years in the activity so amazing, and for the time our faculty and staff have put into this club. Thank you to the Board of Education for having us! As my last acting duty as president, I am sad to go, but I cannot wait for what is in store for this amazing group of students…

Tonight, Roslyn’s Speech and Debate team had the opportunity to present our accomplishments to the Roslyn School District Board of Education and community members. We are beyond proud of how far this team has come over the past four years. Thank you for this opportunity and thank you to everyone who attended!
Here is to a bright future!
On Saturday, Brandon Lee and Andrew Goldberg became the first members of Roslyn’s Speech and Debate team to attend a Round Robin.
A round robin is the most prestigious invitational a competitor can receive. Round robins are invite-only, meaning a competitor must get the attention of the coordinator. Being invited is a huge honor in and of itself.
Andrew and Brandon ended with 5 and 3 ballots in their favor respectively. Huge congratulations to both of them for being invited and attending!
Congratulations to all of our competitors at the New York State Forensic League Championship!
Arielle Fishler received 5th in Impromptu!
Izzy Friedfeld-Gebaide made it to semi-finals of Student Congress!
In Oral Interp, Daniella Futoran was 6th in Varsity as only a junior! Alex Russ made it to semi-finals. Abby Drucker made it to quarter-finals.
In JV Oral Interp, Kyra Sorkin made it to quarter-finals.
In Lincoln Douglas, Anthony made it to semi-finals in Varsity LD, ending his career strong. Andrew Goldberg made it to runoffs in Varsity LD. Daleep Grewal made it to runoffs in JV LD, breaking a year long streak. Aaron Souferi made it to octane-finals in Novice LD.
In Public Forum, the team of Gabby Fries and Zoe Farber had a strong performance, making it to semi-finals in JV PF. The team of Daniel Sung and Josh Samuels made it to runoffs in JV PF.
Roslyn Speech and Debate performed amazingly at states, and we cannot wait to see what they can do at nationals in the coming months!
Congrats to Izzy Friedfeld-Gebaide for qualifying to NCFL's in Congress!
