We create the schedules, plan the activities, and organize the days… but the moments that make it feel like a Buckley summer tend to happen naturally along the way 💙❤️

A great camp counselor is usually doing a hundred small things most people never notice...

Remembering who felt nervous on the first day, helping kids feel included naturally, bringing energy to long summer days, and knowing when to encourage a child forward and when to give them a little space until they’re ready.

These moments may seem small in real time, but they’re a big part of what helps kids feel comfortable, confident, and excited to come back each day.

A great camp summer starts with great people, and we are so proud of our Buckley counselors 🤩

It’s wild to think that in just a few weeks, this same space will be full of campers, activities, and nonstop energy from morning to afternoon!

At Buckley, those answers are already built in with small groups, experienced staff, and days that are structured, active, and a whole lot of fun.

It’s the kind of environment where kids settle in quickly, make friends, and truly look forward to coming back the next day 💙

We put a lot of thought into the camp calendar. The big days, the new activities, the traditions kids look forward to.

But sometimes, it’s the unplanned moments that end up being their favorite.

The giggle fits, the inside jokes, the “watch this!” moments, and the kids they didn’t know on day one and don’t leave without by the end of the week.

That’s the part you won’t see on the schedule, but it’s a big part of what makes camp feel like camp.
