Katz had the pleasure of speaking at Dr. Bernard Fialkoff’s study group in Bayside, Queens on “A Blueprint for Practice Growth”. Dr. Fialkoff is a well-respected Periodontist and the president of the Americas Chapter of the Foundation for a Drug Free World. He has spoken numerous times at the United Nations about eliminating opioids which kill thousands of people each year.

Happy 👏 Today we would like to acknowledge all of the wonderful dentists we have the pleasure of working with through Smile Potential. And of course a huge shoutout to our very own Dr. Katz!

When Smile Potential starts working with a dental practice, we understand the fear of change can be overwhelming at times. Coming out of comfort zones can feel scary, but if you trust in the process, once the change starts happening and you realize the power of change and where it can take you, that fear starts to diminish. Give everything time!

Time flies when you’re having fun… and helping dental practices reach their maximum potential! to one year ago when Donna and Dr. Katz traveled out to Cali to see a new client… and Mercedes! 😀

Dr. Katz enjoyed doing a book signing during the at the booth! Fun fact- Dr. Katz wrote a book called “They Didn’t Teach Us That In Dental School”.

Do you find yourself using these words when speaking to your patients about the care they need? 🛑 This is very common and we see it in most of the practices we work with. When we use these words, it diminishes the sense of urgency and makes whatever we are recommending seem unnecessary. Challenge yourself to eliminate the use of these words. If you pay attention, you may realize you’re saying these things more than you thought!

We have to give a HUGE shoutout to this amazing leader, Judy . There is a book called “The Energy Bus”, by Jon Gordon, that we recommend all of our clients read. It has nothing to do with dental, but teaches some great life lessons. Not only did Judy love the book, she made this amazing board filled with wonderful quotes and also made a “bus ticket” for Kelly, Jamie and the rest of the Lizzack team. She is a great example of a true leader. Great job Judy!!

February is National Children’s Dental Health Month and it’s a great time to focus on the importance of dental health awareness for the younger population. Unfortunately tooth decay remains the most common chronic childhood disease. We must make sure we are educating our patients and/or their parents on proper oral hygiene techniques and making sure they understand the importance of regular dental care visits. 🦷
