Sacred Heart School, founded by Sacred Heart Parish in 1916 serves the children of the community by providing an academically rigorous education anchored by the evangelizing mission of the Church and committed to the principles of social justice and service. The vision for Sacred Heart School has expanded to meet the needs of today’s scholars and families and offers an early Science, Technology, E

ngineering, Mathematics (STEM) based education program for three and four year olds in addition to a more challenging and rigorous scholar directed STEM curriculum in grades K - 8. Additionally, a high quality after school program provides scholars extended opportunities for enrichment. All programs are supported by a strong nurturing culture infused with Catholic Identity. Sacred Heart School provides a professional, goal-oriented faculty and staff, committed to the highest standards of school wide excellence. The governance, planning and assessment for the school are guided by the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools (2012). The rigorous curriculum is aligned to the Massachusetts Common Core Curriculum Frameworks and the Next Generation Science World Standards. The student directed STEM program addresses multiple learning styles at all levels and the school day is enriched with the arts, opportunities for faith formation, and multiple afterschool clubs and activities. Graduates of Sacred Heart School have a solid foundation for success as faith filled leaders and are goal-oriented, embrace high standards, and are well prepared to be noble and productive citizens of the 21st Century. Sacred Heart School seeks out and fosters parent involvement in welcoming them to have an active hands-on role in their scholar’s education. Sacred Heart School continually pursues deep, working relationships with greater community partners resulting in a rich tapestry of authentic life skills, activities, and experiences.
