Go Coyotes! Crestmont Elementary School, located within the city limits of Roseville, California, is one of 19 schools in the Roseville City School District. Opening in September 1963, in the southeast section of the city, the school experienced rapid growth from 1981 through 1986. In the 1985-86 school year, Crestmont School reached its peak enrollment of 765 students, grades K-6. Two portable cl
assrooms were moved onto the campus to accommodate the growth. Crestmont serves approximately 450 students in grades TK-5. The school has two (2) permanent kindergarten classrooms, seventeen (17) permanent 1-6 classrooms, four (4) portable classrooms, a media center, a multi-purpose double-wide portable room, a full size multipurpose room, one, nurses room, office complex and staff room. As a result of the passage of the Measure H Bond election, Crestmont School’s permanent classrooms, offices and media center were modernized during the 2003-2004 school year. All classrooms received upgrades in electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning and access to technology. Construction on a multipurpose room began in June 2004, and was completed in March 2005. A major focus at Crestmont has been the use of technology to support instruction through its integration into the district’s curriculum. We have received funding for a staff-development grant to train and provide support for teachers in how to effectively incorporate technology into the district approved curriculum.
