Students enjoyed a memorable school-wide assembly and Panther Pack scavenger hunt today.

Today's theme was Dress Like a Friend, and Mr. Johnson surprised the entire school by shaving his head during the assembly to match his fellow 6th-grade colleague, Mr. Sirovy! During the assembly, we recognized winners of several school-wide competitions, honored our Principal Paws-itive Vibe recipients, listened to Kindergarten sing, heard 3rd graders who created a "Rap Club" perform their own written raps, celebrated the work of Student Council, and watched as our 6th graders officially "passed the torch" to next year's 6th-grade leaders in 5th grade.

The school-wide Panther Pack scavenger hunt concluded with every student receiving a friendship bracelet and a free Happy Meal coupon.

A special day! Central Park students who are graduating returned to visit. The seniors shared their favorite CP memories and their future plans. They did a graduation walk with the whole school cheering. Once a Panther, always a Panther 🐾

Central Park 5th graders had the opportunity to attend the MN Twins game. Students learned about the Negro Leagues and Jackie Robinson as part of a literacy unit on how sports can create opportunities for change. The Twins game was a perfect event to enhance their learning!
