Roseville just has a whole different vibe…. With the tone set by dynamic and engaging Principal Ashley Serin, Roseville High School is a place with spirit, life and energy. Yesterday was another example of that as Principal Serin assumed the role of Elf on the Shelf and kept an eye on her students - ensuring they continued to make great choices. The students loved it and the campus was abuzz all day with joyful talk about Roseville's very own Elf on the Shelf…

Nobody does it like Roseville High School… Last Friday, RHS hosted RJUHSD’s largest annual career fair. Students were fully engaged as they met with local businesses and institutions. The business representatives were impressed with the high level of student interaction and interest, with many noting it the best group of students with whom they had worked during career fairs. Roseville continues to prepare its students for success after high school and expose them to a wide range of future possibilities.

The toughness, grit and heart of Roseville High School football was on full display last Saturday night at Hughes Stadium. The team earned RHS athletics yet another blue banner and section championship. Seemingly all of Roseville was out to pack the stands and support the Tigers. Now they move on to the state championship round.
The section championship was a momentous occasion and accomplishment, but the job is not done. The team heads to McClymonds in Oakland on Saturday and plays for a chance to represent the community in the state championship the following week

Roseville High School student athletes continue to dominate in athletic competition AND in the classroom. In addition to their regular and postseason success (including a section title for boys water polo), three RHS teams were named Academic Champions by the Sac Joaquin Section. This means that has had one of the top 3 cumulative GPAs in their sport in the section. Congratulations, boys water polo, girls volleyball, and flag football.

And that’s a wrap… Roseville High School’s theater department just concluded the run of its fall play “These Shining Lives.” RHS visual and performing arts continue to excel and provide students with a chance to express themselves and find their voice. “These Shining Lives” was an excellent production and delighted audiences. The students, on and off stage, delivered great performances and continuing learning skills that will help them in the theater industry and in life. We are looking forward to “Footloose” in the spring.
