The mission of Saint Rose of Lima Catholic School is to provide quality academic education, religious education, and faith formation for our students. Brain waves were buzzing in Middle School math this week! 🧠⚡

Our students kicked off the year by tackling a big question: What is math? Spoiler: It’s not just memorizing formulas—it’s all about recognizing patterns!

Using a collaborative activity from Building Thinking Classrooms, our students worked in small groups to crack a visual pattern game. 🎮 On round one, they tested their ideas. On round two, once they unlocked the pattern and looked at the problem through a wider lens, their progress blew us away!

The energy on Day 2 was incredible, and everyone was 100% locked in. Look at that concentration! 📸👇

We can’t wait to bring more of these hands-on thinking tasks to all of our math classes this year. Great job, Middle Schoolers! 👏❤️

The halls of Saint Rose School are officially buzzing again!
We kicked things off yesterday with a wonderful first day—full of bright smiles, eager hearts, and a whole lot of joy as our students settled right into their classrooms.

Today, our school community was truly blessed as Father Paveglio walked our halls to bless every classroom and the office. He gave a special blessing to our new principal, Mr. Young, as he begins his journey with us, as well as our 8th-grade class as they embark on their final year as the leaders of Saint Rose.

A big thank you to our incredible staff and families for creating such a warm, faith-filled start to the year. Welcome back, Saint Rose family! ❤️

We can't wait to see our school families tomorrow, Wednesday, September 2, from 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM!

Here is a quick look at our schedule so you don't miss a thing:

5:30 PM: Gather in the church for our opening welcome with Fr. Paveglio and Mr. Young.

5:50 PM: Session 1 — Group A heads to classrooms for teacher visits & supply drop-off; Group B enjoys a free hot dog dinner courtesy of Knights of Columbus Council #4021.

6:25 PM: Session 2 — Groups switch!

Groups are assigned by last name upon arrival.
