💙 Autism Acceptance Week at Riego 💙

Next week, we’re celebrating Autism Acceptance Week—a time to recognize and celebrate the many ways people think, learn, and experience the world.

We are proud to have three ASD classrooms on our campus and to be a community that values and supports all learners. 💙

Students will participate in activities focused on inclusion and are invited to join our spirit days!

Mad Science Assembly for TK–5th today! 🧪✨
Students were engaged, respectful, and had a blast seeing just how fun science can be. Thank you for an exciting assembly!

So proud of our Raptor ensemble performers! 🎶🦖 They shared their talents in three assemblies for their peers and absolutely shined at their evening performance. Way to go!

🚀🔬 4th Grade STEM in Action! 🔬🚀

Today our 4th graders are visiting the Sacramento Museum of Science & Curiosities for a hands-on STEM field trip! Students are enjoying free exploration as they rotate through interactive exhibits designed to spark curiosity, problem solving, and creative thinking.

Some student favorites include launching air-compressor rockets, engineering with STEM building blocks, experimenting with city planning and design, exploring topographical maps, and learning more about plants and the natural world 🌱

We love seeing our students ask questions, test ideas, and make real-world connections through these engaging science experiences!

We are working hard to strengthen our school-to-home relationships! 🤝✨
This week we brought our ELAC meeting to the Prospera Apartments and partnered with Project Access to support our families. Parents learned how to access ParentSquare and asked great questions—all while their children enjoyed after-school snacks and a safe space provided by Project Access.
A huge thank you to the parents who volunteered to interpret! They helped make this event a success! 💛🦖
