🎶🏆 HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CHURCHILL FULSHEAR HIGH SCHOOL WIND ENSEMBLE! 🏆🎶
The Churchill Fulshear Wind Ensemble has ADVANCED TO THE AREA ROUND of the prestigious Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Honor Band process!
Today, the top bands in Region 13 competed for a chance to continue their journey, and only the Top 4 bands advanced. Against an incredibly talented field of outstanding ensembles, Churchill Fulshear earned a 4th-place finish, securing a spot in the next round of competition.
This achievement is especially significant as it marks the first time Churchill Fulshear has competed in the 6A Honor Band process. While the program has previously been recognized as a State Finalist in both 4A and 5A, this is a historic milestone for the school and, to our knowledge, the first time an LCISD band has advanced to the Area Round in Class 6A.
We also want to recognize the incredible performances by George Ranch High School and Foster High School, who represented LCISD with excellence today. This year also marks the first time LCISD has had three schools competing in the 6A Honor Band process, highlighting the continued growth and strength of our band programs.
The road ahead will be challenging, with the best bands from across the Houston area competing for a chance to be heard at the state level, but we couldn't be prouder of these students and directors for this remarkable accomplishment.
🎺🥁🎷 Congratulations, Churchill Fulshear Wind Ensemble! We are cheering you on as you advance to Area! Lamar CISD

So proud of our Purple Track bands!
Last night was something truly special for Leaman, Purple Track, our incredible Band Program, and—most importantly—our students, directors, and their families. 💜⚡
Our Charger Band students had the honor of being recognized at the City of Fulshear City Council meeting, where Mayor Don McCoy presented a proclamation celebrating their outstanding achievements.
Moments like these are a true reflection of the dedication, talent, and heart that define our Charger community. From early rehearsals to award-winning performances, this recognition is so well deserved.
