🏁🌶️ ZARS END-OF-SEASON PARTY — WHAT. A. NIGHT. 🌶️🏁
Recap from Jordan Roskamp and our engagement committee ……
⚠️ WARNING: LONG READ AHEAD! ⚠️ 😂
But trust me, this one is worth it. I packed an entire weekends worth of riding, chili, tacos, prizes, musical chairs, Oompa Loompas, questionable decisions, and general ZARS chaos into one weekend… there’s no way I’m summarizing that in three sentences. 🤣
Grab a snack, settle in, and enjoy the ride. 🏁😂
I’m not sure who decided we needed motorcycle racing / Track weekend, a chili cook-off, musical chairs, costumes, a Great DJ, and a small fortune in prizes all in one weekend…but ZARS doesn’t believe in quietly ending a season. 😂
The Shootout races were awesome, and the Rider Challenge was absolutely PACKED! I don’t think we’ve ever seen that many riders line up for it. Apparently the secret to getting racers on the grid is simple: offer prizes and watch everyone suddenly discover their competitive spirit. 🤣
Huge thanks to Cheap Thrills for giving away TIRES to contestants in both the Shootout and Rider Challenge. Nothing motivates a motorcycle racer quite like the possibility of leaving the track with more rubber than they arrived with. 😂
And we can’t forget Saturday’s soggy sessions! 🌧️🏍️ Turns out riding in the rain is actually a blast—and a heck of a learning experience. Less grip, more learning, and absolutely no dry socks. 😂
Then came the Chili Cook-Off. 🌶️
Things got serious. Recipes were guarded. Friendships were tested. Everyone suddenly became a certified chili judge despite having absolutely zero credentials.
And a HUGE thank you to Antonio and his family for cooking up fresh tacos for everyone! 🌮🔥
Huge thanks to Mike at In Gear Moto for absolutely loading us up with prizes — gloves, helmets, gift cards and more. Mike also supplied gift cards for the Chili Cook-Off winners. At some point I started wondering if Mike actually planned on keeping anything in his store. 😂
And then came MUSICAL CHAIRS. 🎶🪑
Because apparently racing motorcycles at triple-digit speeds wasn’t enough competition for one weekend, so we decided to watch grown adults fight over folding chairs.
Blondie’s donated a SERIOUSLY MASSIVE gift card toward garage work for the winner, and Jon won it.
Let’s just say… the universe looked around the room, saw Jon, and said, “Yep. That guy needs this.” 😂😂
Huge shoutout to Moon Motorsports for the massive donation of gift cards and other goodies, and to Ethan with Apex Photography for giving away an awesome portrait! Ethan, you’re massively talented at what you do and we appreciate it.
And we have to give a HUGE shoutout to our new DJ, Eddie! 🎧
Eddie absolutely killed it. The music was great, but more importantly, he brought exactly the right amount of completely unnecessary goofiness to the party. 😂 The extra nonsense is not only welcomed around here — it’s highly encouraged.
Eddie, you fit into the ZARS paddock way too naturally. That may or may not be a compliment. 🤣 Welcome to the circus!
And a HUGE thank you to Brainerd International Raceway for continuing to let this group of hooligans come back! ❤️🏁
Even some of the BIR staff got into the festivities by showing up dressed like they had just clocked out of W***y Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. 😂
Seeing Oompa Loompas wandering around a racetrack was something I didn’t know I needed in my life, but here we are.
10/10 commitment. No notes. 🤣
And because apparently we STILL hadn’t given away enough stuff…
JESSICA GAVE AWAY A DCTC DAY! 🤯🏍️
Seriously, the support from the vendors, sponsors, BIR staff, volunteers and everyone involved this season has been incredible. These businesses and people continually step up to support the riders and help make this paddock what it is.
And a HUGE thank you to Adrenaline Engineering for keeping everyone’s suspension dialed in and on point all season long! 🏍️🔧
Whether it was getting a bike properly set up, making adjustments, answering questions, or helping riders figure out why their motorcycle suddenly had the handling characteristics of a shopping cart 😂 — you guys were always there to help.
Thank you for an awesome season of supporting our riders, keeping our bikes planted, and helping everyone get properly set up. Having you there trackside throughout the season is something we definitely don’t take for granted! ❤️🏁
Bad racing lines were forgiven.
Questionable chili was consumed.
Adults fought over chairs.
Jon got garage money.
Eddie found his people.
Oompa Loompas invaded BIR.
Tires and prizes flew everywhere.
And somehow nobody got kicked out of the Chocolate Factory.
😂😂😂
I’d say that’s one hell of a way to end the ZARS season.
Thank you to everyone who supported us, rode with us, volunteered, donated, cooked, DJ’d, dressed ridiculously, or just showed up and joined in the chaos.
🏁❤️ What a season. What a paddock. What a family. ❤️🏁
