Meet one of our amazing clerks and paras - Mrs. Kratky!

Our fifth grade students had an incredible experience at their Kindness Retreat - hosted by Youth Frontiers. We are so thankful for the NHS students at Rosemount High School who served as our small group leaders. What an amazing day celebrating inclusivity, creating connections, and learning about the impact of bullying. 💕
We missed getting a whole group picture because the buses showed up to bring us back to school, so we didn't need to walk back in the rain. ☔️

📚🧶✂️ Fifth Grade students made yarn dolls just like Mama in 𝘌𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘻𝘢 𝘙𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨, the chapter book students are currently reading for Literacy.

Background: After her wealthy father is murdered following the Mexican Revolution, Esperanza and her mother flee their cruel uncles and head toward California with their former servants. While traveling by train to Zacatecas, Esperanza struggles with her sudden loss of status. When she refuses to let a poor peasant girl hold her beautiful doll—the final gift from her father—her mother gently scolds her and makes the girl a simple yarn doll instead, highlighting the sharp contrast in their new realities.

During this morning's staff meeting, we took time to honor staff for years of service, wish well those who are moving on to new buildings or adventures, as well celebrate Mr. Idstrom and his upcoming retirement by wearing T-shirts with his face on them. 😜☘️💗
