Join us on November 7th for the Parenting Conference: Fostering Resilience, Supporting Learners, Strengthening Communities.

Conference runs from 8:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Eastview High School.

This event is free and features two sessions of great speakers presenting on parenting information for parents and caregivers of children from birth though high school.

Minnesota voters will decide on a public school funding amendment this November.

The proposed constitutional amendment would change how money from Minnesota’s Permanent School Fund is distributed, potentially providing more funding for public schools without raising property, income or sales taxes.

The proposal would use a three-year average of the fund’s value to help provide steady funding for classroom needs, teachers and student opportunities.

Mark your calendars, District 196 families! 📚

Join us for the Parenting Conference: Fostering Resilience on Saturday, Nov. 7, 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Eastview High School (6200 140th St. W., Apple Valley). It's FREE, and the whole community is welcome.

The morning kicks off with Superintendent Michael Bolsoni, who will share how District 196 prepares students for long-term success. From there, keynote speaker Dr. Kathryn Hecht — a Minnesota-based child and adolescent clinical psychologist known for turning evidence-based research into practical, everyday strategies — presents "The Power of Brave Parenting," with real tools for helping kids build confidence and work through fears.

Then choose two hands-on breakout sessions from more than twenty options, covering everything from screen time and stress to communication and everyday parenting strategies.

The Community Education Parenting Conference is back! Join us Saturday, November 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Eastview High School.

The morning begins with Superintendent Bolsoni, followed by keynote speaker Dr. Kathryn Hecht, a nationally recognized expert on pediatric anxiety and OCD. Choose from more than 20 parenting workshops led by local experts and District 196 staff.
