Hi all - long time, no posts! ;)
I'm writing to let you know that summer literacy camps are returning this summer and will be hosted at Holy Child School at Rosemont for 1 week in July and 1 week in August. If you have a rising K - rising 4th grader and you're looking to give them a summer skills boost (same FUN design as previous years at LOFL camp), come take a look at our offerings! A topic that is near and dear to my heart... parents of young children/teachers- take a look and educate yourselves on predictable vs decodable text. It's so important to understand and appreciate the difference during those early years of literacy development. :)

For all of my friends who find themselves questioning whether their children are receiving the best, most effective reading instruction, please take 12 minutes to watch this video. SUMMER 2020 UPDATE: Due to safety concerns and in following the state's camp guidelines, LOFL camp will not be offering its traditional literacy camp for summer 2020. However, our incredible teachers will be offering virtual (and possibly moving to in-person depending on stay at home orders) one-on-one and small group tutoring for children ages rising PK through rising 6th grade.
