Did you know Roselle Public Schools has not held a bond referendum – a vote on borrowing to fund school improvements – in more than 60 years?

Over the decades, the district has made improvements in other ways, by maximizing periodic grants, capital reserve funds, and existing resources. This resourceful approach has funded upgraded HVAC systems, new roofs and windows, and renovations to instructional and academic spaces.

Now, RPS is pursuing a referendum to fund its most ambitious project yet: A new PreK-2 school that would meet early education needs and open up space and opportunities across the district.

The challenge is not having big plans—the challenge is convincing the community that the plans are achievable, sustainable, and worth investing in.

Roselle Public Schools has big plans for the future.

Through Vision 2027, we are building a school district that prepares every student for success in a rapidly changing world. From expanding early childhood education opportunities and enhancing academic programs to modernizing facilities, strengthening school safety, and investing in innovative learning experiences, our focus remains on creating opportunities for every learner.

Our plans are ambitious because our students deserve nothing less. We are committed to providing future-ready learning environments, attracting and retaining exceptional educators, fostering strong family and community partnerships, and ensuring that every decision supports student achievement and well-being.

The work ahead is significant, but so is our commitment. Together, we are not simply maintaining our schools—we are building a stronger future for Roselle, one student, one school, and one opportunity at a time.

This is the Season.
The Weight of the Pen: A Superintendent’s Reflection

To the casual observer, signing thousands of certificates looks like a routine administrative task. But to me, every stroke of the pen is an intimate contract with the future. I am not just endorsing a piece of paper; I am validating the sacred journey of a Roselle Scholar.

As my pen moves across these documents, I trace a legacy of intentional growth:

Kindergarten Success Academy: Where the foundation for a lifetime of learning is poured.

Leonard V. Moore Middle School: Where scholars build the confidence and resilience needed to transition forward.

Grace Wilday Junior High School: Where students prove they are fully prepared for the academic heights of high school.

Abraham Clark High School: The ultimate milestone, where a scholar transforms into a global citizen ready to conquer college, careers, and the world.

One Student. One Journey. Endless Possibilities.

Every name represents a child who walked our hallways, overcame challenges, and was championed by our community. The ink from my pen seals their achievements, but it is their determination that gives these pages power.

As Superintendent, my vision has always been to see our district Shift and Transcend. Looking at these completed certificates/ diplomas, I see that vision made real. It is the highest honor of my leadership to sign off on their success and watch our Roselle Scholars step boldly into their future.

The Rams are ready to lead.
