It seems like yesterday…

I spent the day thinking of Supreme Master Bok Man Kim and how I could share my thoughts and memories that I, like many others, had the honor of creating with him over time. After going through many photos of this amazing relationship we had developed ( I trained and studied Chun Kuhn Weapons and traveled to the World Headquarters in Roseland NJ 2-3 times per year to study under his guidance), I chose the following photo.

I took this photo the day after his passing in his office. It is “his” uniform and belt hanging on his chair. It represents, to me anyway, that Supreme Master Bok Man Kim was always ready to be on the floor to share his knowledge even in his 80’s. It also represents the power of his spirit that I felt that morning looking at his Dobok.

Well, after a day on the emotional roller coaster, I’m going to go to bed thinking of a quote from Dr. Seuss:

“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened!” Thank you Sir for sharing your knowledge with the world.
