Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society meetings every Tuesday 12:30pm-1pm. Come join us in the Recateria here at Umpqua Community College.

Graduating? Attending graduation? The Alpha Sigma Upsilon chapter is selling roses and the funds go towards helping students who want to join but are unable to afford the membership fee. $3/stem, half dozen/$15, dozen/$30. Our table is located outside HNSC and will open at 4pm this afternoon.

It was a wonderful day hiking the Cooper creek trail and picking up trash while fundraising for the ScholarDash.

Our HIA project survey is live! This year our research questions are: What is society's influence on children's perspective on and ability to cope with death? How do different cultures teach children about processing death? What are their methods of education and best practices? We are looking for parents/guardians of kids aged 4-11 to participate in our project. The link to the survey can be found here (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdqTO961tt2j2M8q8Gw2MmF9KXfH-GKEq82B0SpNc5DFdBCug/viewform.). Participants will be entered into a drawing to win a copy of Caitlin Doughty's book, "Will My Cat Eat My Eyeballs?" Parents/Guardians have an option of entering the child's responses into the survey or recording a video of the child answering the questions. There is a spot at the end of the survey to upload the video. The survey will close on November 11th.
