A little brown bulb went to sleep in the ground,
And there she slept safe & sound.
While Old King Winter raged overhead,
The little brown bulb did not stir in her bed.
Then Lady Spring came
tip-toeing over the lea,
Fingers as soft as they could be.
Little brown bulb lifted her head,
Slipped off her nightgown &
jumped out of bed!
