At Sunnyslope, we begin each day together as a school community in the cafeteria.

During this time, we say the Pledge of Allegiance, celebrate attendance, recognize birthdays, and honor students with Positive Shout-Outs. We also share a daily joke, make announcements, and review important reminders for the day ahead.

Our students play an active role in leading announcements and helping celebrate their classmates.

Parkview Skate Center hosted a skate night for Sunnyslope once each month, giving our students and families a fun opportunity to spend time together and support our school.

A special thank you to Parkview Skate for partnering with us throughout the year.

Our last VIP Gaga Game of the school year took place during the final week of school! We had another special guest join us this month—Mrs. Kelso stopped by Sunnyslope to play a round with students who purchased a ticket from the SHINE Store using SHINE Bucks they earned throughout the school year.

Students had a great time playing, laughing, and making memories with Mrs. Kelso, Mr. Folsom, and Mr. McQueen. It was a fun way to celebrate all of the positive choices and hard work our students showed this year!

A huge THANK YOU to Thundering Water and the WOWtruck team for visiting Sunnyslope Elementary on our last day of school Field Day! The WOWtruck is a mobile wellness and recreation center created by Thundering Water to promote healthy, active lifestyles for youth and families in Douglas County.

Students had an amazing time, trying new activities and celebrating the end of a great school year. The WOWtruck brought excitement and energy to our campus. We appreciate your commitment to helping children and families learn about healthy living through fun and engaging experiences.

Thank you for making our Field Day extra special and giving our students a memorable way to kick off summer!

Every spring, Sunnyslope holds a fundraiser to raise money to help provide a yearbook for every student at the end of the school year!
