Each year, we honor Martin Luther King Jr. with a day of service in his memory.
This year, one of our preschool classes built a Free Little Library to share with our community.
Stop by to take a book, leave a book, and help spread the love of reading. 🥰

As part of our Practical Life curriculum, some of our older students are learning how to use sewing machines. If you have one tucked away in a closet and not getting much use, we would be so grateful to put it to work with the next generation of sewers, menders, and artists.
Comment or message us if you have one to share. Thank you!

Peace education is at the heart of Montessori philosophy. Dr. Montessori believed that children are naturally inclined toward harmony and fairness when given the tools to express themselves and solve problems respectfully. Through tools like the Peace Rose, children learn to express feelings, listen to others, and resolve conflicts respectfully. This simple ritual nurtures empathy and self-regulation while teaching that peace begins with understanding.
Classroom meetings further support this work by giving students space to share concerns, celebrate successes, and practice conflict resolution strategies. Together, these practices build community, responsibility, and compassion, helping children grow into thoughtful, peaceful problem-solvers.
