Nearly 50 years ago, Tim Molinari trained, competed, and set records at Umpqua Community College and these experiences helped shape the course of his life.
Today, as we celebrate the Grand Opening of UCC's new track, Tim is helping create opportunities for the next generation by establishing an endowment to support the college's cross country and track & field programs for years to come.
Join us as we celebrate a new chapter built on a legacy of dedication, perseverance, and community. Come see the new facility, participate in the Riverhawk 5k, honor the athletes who paved the way, and help us welcome the future of Riverhawk Track & Field.

Our scholarship recipients are unique individuals who come from all walks of life. Heather Burns is pursuing her Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer. She plans to transfer to Portland State University with a long-term goal of working in integrated behavioral health.
Heather shares how the scholarship not only helps financially but โrepresents being seen and believed in during a season of life that has required a tremendous amount of perseverance.โ She shares her experience of recovering from a lifelong addiction and balancing family responsibilities while in school.
These responsibilities and struggles did not hold her back. โThe more I learned term after term, the bigger the fire within began to burn. Then something happened; a moment of clarity where I realized I had set the bar too low and I had the power and ability to raise it as high as I wanted. So I did, and by that I mean I set a course to go all the way.โ
UCC is so proud of Heather and her accomplishments! We look forward to the wave of new applicants and encourage every student to apply no matter where they are on their journey. Remember to apply as soon as possible!
