Our 4 new exchange students will arrive the first week in August for our 2026-2027 school year. 2 boys, from Germany and Türkiye, will attend Glide HS. A boy from Italy and a girl from Germany will attend Roseburg HS.

We are still searching for host families in Douglas County.

We have 3 new exchange students coming in August. 2 are from Germany and one is from Italy. Our Chapter is still looking for more Host Families for the 2026-27 school year. Roseburg High School is not taking any more exchange students, so the families would have to be in school districts outside of Roseburg.

We have a beautiful dog themed 33" x 52" quilt added to the Doggie Basket. Other items in the Doggie Basket are K-9 Dog Treats and 3 dog-themed children's books. Time to write your Congress Reps and Senators, if you want International Cultural Exchanges to continue.

The FY27 President’s Budget Request proposed a 68% cut to U.S. international exchange programs - programs that have helped millions of people build cross-cultural understanding.

But Congress, not the Administration, decides the final funding. Last year, the exchange community sent 20,000+ letters to Congress, and lawmakers rejected a proposed 93% cut. Now our community must speak up again!
