October 22nd at 10am: UVA Members can register a week early for our shorter 2024 Bonus Term and our 2025 Winter Term!
The 2024 Bonus Term is a shorter term for experienced Clay Place students who have been registered at our studio within the last year. It’s perfect for squeezing in last-minute projects before the end of the year.
The 2025 Winter Term is great for BOTH new and experienced clay artists who want a longer term, access to classes, and more!

📣 Calling Clay Place artists past and present!

The Confluence is back for a Fall 2024 Art Show and Sale, and there are still spots open for any artists who would like to participate! Each artist will get their own space to set up a table to showcase their art for interested guests on October 5th & 6th from 10am-5pm. This event is a lovely and intimate gathering of artists from across the Umpqua Valley and welcomes mediums such as pottery, wood-turning, jewelry, and painting.

If you're interested in participating, please reach out to Dave Mason at the number on the bottom of the flier image below. He'll be able to answer any questions you have, give you information about the event, the application process, and the cost to participate.

We're calling all current and recently registered Clay Place students to help us make bowls for UCAN's Empty Bowl Dinner!

Each year, UVA sponsors the Empty Bowls Dinner by hosting an Empty Bowls Drive. We supply the studio, tools, and some clay, and you help us make bowls for the event!

Dates: September 2nd, 4th, & 6th.
Times: 10am-8pm
Special Glazing Day: September 22nd from 10am-4pm.

If you are unable to make it to the Empty Bowls Drive, please feel free to donate any functional and beautiful bowls you have made. We will be taking bowl donations up until October 3rd. All bowls will be used to taste delicious foods made by local Douglas County restaurants and chefs during the dinner, and then be taken home as a momento for the occasion.

No reservation is needed for the drive, just stop by on the dates and times listed above and help us support families in need in Douglas County! If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to Ashley at [email protected]

Get ready! 📣 UVA Member Registration for the Summer Term at The Clay Place starts on Tuesday, May 14th at 10am!

The Clay Place will be providing all of the same amazing studio amenities for clay artists at all skill levels to make their best work. NEW registrants can sign up for a Full-Pack (up to 60 hours of studio time per term), and experienced registrants can sign up for either a Full-Pack or a Mini-Pack (up to 30 hours of studio time per term). Check out the full list of studio amenities below!
• Access to studio furniture and equipment like tables, wheels, slab roller, and more.
• Access to studio tools.
• Access to glazes made in-house.
• Firings in the studio kilns.
• A locker to store your items.

Please make sure your UVA Membership is up-to-date before registering on May 14th. All Non-Members may register beginning Tuesday, May 21st at 10am.

The Clay Place is as popular as ever and another studio term has sold out. If you missed the opportunity to join our studio, please reach out to us and request to be put on our waitlist. If any spaces open up before April 3rd, we'll reach out to each person on the waitlist in the order they're received.
