CALLING ALL OUR ST. LOUIS AREA OUTDOOR EDUCATION SUPPORTERS! CHECK IT OUT! THIS WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19th, 6-8PM!

Earth's Classroom is very honored to once again be asked to be the recipient of the AL-PINT NIGHTS at the Alpine Shop in Kirkwood, MO. All proceeds go directly to youth outdoor education programs through Earth's Classroom. (Non-alcoholic drinks are available too.)

In addition, we have an adventurous RAFFLE that you can take a chance on right now even if you can't make the PINT NIGHT. The founders of Earth's Classroom (EC) are offering a private, educational, day-paddle with them and up to 5 of your friends, on your choice of river, gear included if needed, AND a bright, tasty, meal prepared by the founders on the river!! SWEET!! Date and place to be arranged by both parties.

The founders could take you for a full moon float on the Missouri River or a sun basked paddle down one of our meandering Ozarks rivers. YOUR CHOICE! If you are a junior or senior in high school for the 2026-2027 school year and are interested in any career field that works with biology, chemistry, or physics, you will want to take advantage of this fun, vibrant, hands-on, certification. So, if you are interested in the medical field, agriculture, being a science teacher, wildlife biology, sustainable architecture, or any other related field, know that we bring science to life by sharpening your observation skills and introducing many different career options, all while using the natural resources in our local outdoor landscapes to show you how biology, chemistry, and physics exists all around us.

You must be able to commute on your own to the course locations once a month (Sept. thru June), most being at Earth's Classroom's location south of Rosebud, MO.

WOW! Another great educational adventure! This past week, high school kiddos from Missouri and Arkansas experienced a National Wild and Scenic Riverway, the Eleven Point River.

They lived from canoes for days, acquiring the ACA (American Canoe Association) Level 2 Canoeing Skills, catching and learning about the bizarre creatures' adaptations, swam, told stories, bonded, and ate s'mores. All of this time was spent without watches and cell phones. :)

Lots of learning and exploring was to be had, while gaining a deep appreciation of the amazing Ozarks.

In addition, we had two FSCE (Field Science Career Experience) students, Allison and Hank, complete their 90-hour field science certification! They had to identify species (both plant and animals) and teach back to their peers about their unique place in the world. Whoo Hoo! Good times. Memories made. Celebrating being alive.

We had a fabulous time yesterday sharing about the unique upper Big Piney river during the open to the public Ecology Canoe Day-Trip. We caught critters, looked at unique geology, and listened to young turkey vultures growl/hiss at us. It was a day filled with learning, great visiting, and adventure.

LAST CALL! A few slots left for THIS WEDNESDAY's Ecology Canoe Day-Trip on the beautiful upper Big Piney.

Earth's Classroom will provide canoes, paddles, pfds, 4 styles of nets to catch and teach about the local critters, snorkeling masks for everyone, an Art of Canoeing course at the beginning to refine your paddling strokes, and a unique geological and ecological experience down a peaceful river...mid-week.

WOW! What an amazing adventure we had this week! Earth's Classroom took high school students from three different states, living out of canoes for multiple days, on the National Wild and Scenic River, the Eleven Point River.

We did so much learning and adventuring! (Sorry. We didn't get many pictures of all the creatures like sculpins, darters, hellgrammites, snails, mayflies, etc. that we caught cause we instructors were so excited about teaching that we forgot to take pictures! lol)

No phones. No watches. Just adventuring and learning about the amazing Ozark ecosystems!
