Fighting is not for the faint of heart!
You have to have courage, face fear and want this lifestyle.
Honestly, have to say this one stings and that I’m disappointed we went 1-3.
As a coach, I wear the losses more than the victories. The victory is the hard work of the fighter and the losses well there is always something I feel I should’ve done to prepare them more.
Super proud of Marshal Cunz becoming the XFO 145er Champion. Anyone who knows Marshal knows the work he puts in, always make the chance for success high. He did what he envisioned he was going to do!
Angelo fought a tough opponent both making their debuts. It was a slip and slide and job was to sprawl and brawl. He Lost a unanimous decision but did not quit during the trying of times.
Karlondo fought a young tough kid making waves being on the Gamma scene. He showed grit to get through round 1, implemented our game plan in round 2, and the cardio we are known for dominated the third. Lost a split decision.
His opponent couldn’t make it back to the after fight clearance. Glad in the end he was ok.
Josh was making his debut against a gamer who was 1-0. Nerves can play a big part. We trained for their gameplan but just didn’t get the opportunity to get it going. Lost by guillotine.
Mental and physical need to align in order to get the best outcomes.
Regardless of the outcome, I’m thankful to have them get in there represent the DSW logo and have them as partners and leaders for others. The team is greater than the I.
I know this will cause us to adapt and only make us better. Of course, I am going to make them work harder and smarter.
Thank you to the coaches, Demarkus Griffin, Hector Pulido, Matt Mulvenna our team, sponsors and family members all behind the scenes!
