Two students from WCS had the opportunity to attend North Carolina Governor's School this summer and represent our district in a big way. Shan'ylia Galindo-Pledger (WCHS) and Deshiyah Holley (WCECHS) both gave presentations at the recent board meeting to highlight their experience in the program. Both students reported an amazing, life-changing experience that will help shape their future education careers. We are proud of how they represented the district with excellence, and look forward to new students taking up the reigns next year. We are ecstatic to share with our community the students of the month for September! Pictured with Superintendent Dr. David White are Skylar Williams (WCES), Barbara Sanchez-Ochoa (WCHS), and Michael Stallings (WCECHS). These students not only have demonstrated excellent academic performance, but have been shown to be awesome citizens in our schools, and they represent all the greatness in Washington County Schools! Way to go scholars; we are extremely proud of you!

TECH NIGHT......All WCECHS students will.be receiving new devices. Technology will.be paasing them out on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the new location, 114 Railroad Street. Parents/guardians need to be present to sign for the devices. See you Wednesday.
