What a way to kick off Central Lions Football Game Day! Our Hornets were greeted this morning by some of our Central High School football players and cheerleaders, bringing ALL the energy, spirit, and excitement for our kiddos! 📣🏈
From Hornets to Lions, we grow together, cheer for each other, and CONNECT as one community! 💚

We are so proud of Mrs. Jones! Very well deserved! 👏❤️

Congratulations to Central Middle School, Carrollton, Georgia Principal Colleen Jones for being named a finalist for Middle School Principal of the Year by the Georgia Association of Secondary School Principals! Mrs. Jones has been principal of CMS since 2022 after serving in the same role at Ithica Elementary for five years.

Schools under her leadership have earned numerous awards. Most recently CMS received national recognition from the Association for Middle Level Education as one of only 24 Schools of Distinction in the country and the only school in Georgia during 2025. She was awarded an Outstanding Educator Award by the Student Support Team Association for Georgia Educators this summer at the GAEL summer conference. She will be presenting next month at the SSTAGE Fall Conference in Macon. GASSP will name the Middle School Principal of the Year after final in-person interviews are conducted over the next few weeks.
