Four outstanding Sachem School District seniors were recently recognized among Suffolk County's top student-athletes at the 26th Annual Butch Dellecave Awards, held at Villa Lombardi's in Holbrook.
Representing Sachem North High School were seniors Alexandra Chmela and John Giraulo, while Isabella Sharp-Senior and Jack Martines were honored as Sachem East High School's nominees.

Congrats to Sachem North’s Brody Mauro on being named the Suffolk County Boys Lacrosse Rookie of the Year!
As just a seventh grader, Brody became the youngest player in Sachem lacrosse history to compete at the varsity level, holding his own against some of the county’s top talent while helping lead the Arrows on an unforgettable championship run.
His hard work, determination and willingness to learn made an immediate impact, and this honor is a testament to the bright future ahead. 🏹

Our talented Sachem Marching Band and Color Guard recently performed at the World Cup Experience at Stony Brook University, helping celebrate the excitement surrounding the 2026 FIFA World Cup and a truly unique moment in American sports history.
Representing Sachem with pride, passion, and excellence, the band and color guard delivered an outstanding performance that showcased the dedication and talent of our students and staff.
Bravo to everyone involved for making the Sachem community proud and being part of this special event! 🎺🥁🏳️

Congratulations to the outstanding student researchers from Sachem North and Sachem East who represented our district at the 2026 Long Island Science Congress and the New York State Science and Engineering Fair (Andromeda Division)!
Competing against hundreds of students from across Nassau and Suffolk counties, our young scientists showcased original research in fields ranging from medicine and health sciences to ecology, sociology, mycology and materials science.

Sachem East teachers and Student Government co-advisors Damon Gallo and Michael Jannace were recently presented with the Christine Pendergast Unsung Hero Award during the ALS Ride for Life’s 2026 Annual Honoree Recognition Benefit.
The award recognizes individuals whose unwavering commitment to the ALS community has helped advance awareness, advocacy and fundraising efforts in the fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
