Now, let's talk RSVP. 😂 Last year, 50 Dads said they were coming, and 150 showed up. We love the enthusiasm, we really do, but we ran out of donuts. DONUTS. BLAZIN BOTS EARN THE INSPIRE AWARD!

We’re proud to celebrate the incredible success of our Robotics Club this season! Through teamwork, innovation, and countless hours of dedication, our students showcased their talent and problem-solving skills at competition. Congratulations to all of our team members for representing our school with excellence! 🤖🏆

On May 16th, Metro's Robotics Team, the Blazin Bots, attended a spring robotics competition at the University of Detroit Mercy and they rocked it!

After 5 qualifying matches, the team came in 4th place, which secured their spot in the finals. The team came in 3rd place in the finals after double elimination qualifying matches.

Now, about that award...
In addition to competing in robot matches against other teams, the Blazin Bots truly impressed the judges with their presentation and interviews, and we're honored to receive the top award for the event, the INSPIRE AWARD!

The Inspire Award is the most prestigious and highest-ranking honor in the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC). It is awarded to the top all-around team that excels in robot design, engineering, community outreach, and Gracious Professionalism.
