🎒📚 Back-to-School Ready! ✏️🍎

We’re excited to welcome our students and families back for a wonderful new school year!

To help make the start of the year a little easier for our families, the district will be providing school supplies for students. That means families will only need to provide a backpack and a lunch pail

We hope this helps take some of the stress out of back-to-school shopping and allows families to focus on getting ready for a great year ahead.

💫 Royal Recognition 💫

Averie Murray, a rising Romulus 7th grader, received the Seneca County Youth Bureau Brightest Star Award at the Seneca County Board of Supervisors meeting on July 14.

Students are nominated for the award based on consistently applying themselves in their academic ability, involvement at school and in the community, and demonstrating character traits like empathy, responsibility, respect, and compassion.

Congratulations to Averie for receiving this award! Your hard work and good character have paid off! 👏

🌟 Board Updates for a New School Year 🌟

Last week's Board of Education meeting ushered in the 2026-2027 school year with some exciting changes for Romulus CSD.

Our new student Board members for the coming year are Olivia Haws (L) and Elizabeth Barbay (R). Congrats to you both for stepping into this role!

Incumbents Tom Wilson and Erik Karlsen were re-elected and sworn in. Tenneille Brewer was elected as Board President and Kim Wolverton as Vice President.

Our new music teacher, Jessica Ciancaglini, was appointed to teach Elementary music and instrumental (pictured). Not in attendance was Amanda Moore, who was appointed to teach Earth Science.

Suzy Nicholson was also appointed as the District's new Athletic Director, a position she is excited to take on this year. Nicholson will remain in the roles of Superintendent’s Secretary, Board District Clerk and Extra Class District Treasurer in addition to the AD position. Congratulations! 👏

We are happy to start the year with new faces and fresh energy. It's going to be a great year, Romulus!

🌅 From Sunrise to Sunset: The Class of 2026 has officially come full circle! 🎓✨

We started senior year watching the sunrise together at breakfast, and yesterday we celebrated the end of an unforgettable journey with the perfect sunset cruise. 🛳️❤️

A massive thank you to our incredible class advisors, Mrs. Augustine and Mrs. Travis! Thank you for your endless dedication, guidance, and for steering this ship so beautifully all year long. We couldn't have done it without you!

🎓✨We have PreK Graduates!!✨🎓

Our little ones are officially ready for Kindergarten! This year has flown by, and we are so incredibly proud of the growth, confidence, and joy we’ve seen every single day.

A massive, heartfelt THANK YOU to Mrs. Leahy and Mrs. Adam. 🍎❤️ You both have created such a warm, patient, and magical environment for these kids to thrive. Thank you for wiping tears, celebrating the small wins, and loving our littlest Royals like your own.

It is amazing to look back at how much has changed since September. This year wasn't just about learning ABCs and 123s. It was about:

* Mastering the art of sharing and taking turns (no small feat!).
* Opening lunchboxes and juice pouches all by themselves.
* The pure magic of circle time, line-leader duties, and carpet squares.
* Writing names, cutting with safety scissors, and bringing home the most creative (and glittery!) masterpieces.
* Building beautiful friendships and learning how to be a kind classmate.

Mrs. Leahy and Mrs. Adam, you didn't just teach, you inspired a genuine love for learning, and we will be forever grateful for the foundation you've built.
