Middle School families: we hope you’re soaking up every last bit of summer! ☀️ As we get closer to the start of another great school year, here are a couple important dates to have on your calendar:

To give our newest middle school families a little extra time to get comfortable, we’ll welcome families at the following times:

🕗 8:00–9:00 AM: 6th Grade Families Only
🕘 9:00–11:00 AM: 7th & 8th Grade Families

Students will have a chance to meet their teachers, find their classrooms, ask questions, connect to PowerSchool, and get ready to start the year with confidence!

High school families: we’re excitedly preparing for the 2026–2027 school year and can’t wait to welcome our students back! The first day of school is Tuesday, Sep. 8. It will be a half day, from 7:55 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Before the school year officially begins, we’re opening our doors for High School Orientation on Thursday, Sep. 3. Our staff will be ready to welcome students, help them get familiar with the building, and get everyone set for a great year ahead.

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone soon! 😍

🎓 Summer School Registration is Now Open!

Summit Academy High School students can recover missed credits or get ahead toward graduation this summer at no cost to families.

𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐬:

✅ General Science
✅ English
✅ Algebra 1

𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫-𝐋𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞:

• High school credit
• A letter grade
• GPA improvement based on the earned grade

Students needing credit recovery in other subjects may complete online coursework during summer school hours. If you're unsure whether credit recovery is needed, please check PowerSchool. Any course without a CR (Credit Recovery) designation still requires credit to be earned. Students currently earning below 50% in a course are strongly encouraged to enroll.

On Monday, the Summit Academy Middle School Student Council, led by Mr. Chisholm, hosted a Leadership Roundtable and Q&A with local community leaders.

Students gained valuable insights into leadership, service, and community impact through thoughtful discussion and conversation. Thank you to our guest speakers for inspiring the next generation of leaders!

The Summit Academy Athletics Banquet is just one week away, and we are excited to celebrate an outstanding year of athletic achievement with our student-athletes, families, coaches, and supporters.

📢 Chromebook Return Reminder 📢

As we wrap up another great school year, this is a reminder that all school-issued Chromebooks and chargers must be returned by **June 8, 2026**.

✅ Students should return their Chromebook and charger directly to their **WIN teacher**.

🎓 **Attention Seniors (Class of 2026):**
All outstanding school-issued technology must be returned before Commencement. Students with unreturned devices or unpaid replacement fees will need to clear those obligations before participating in graduation activities.

🔍 **Can't Find Your Device or Charger?**
We understand that things get misplaced. Replacement fees may be paid in cash at the high school office:

• Lost Charger: **$15**
• Lost Chromebook: **$60**

🏆 **WIN Class Challenge!**
Any WIN class that achieves **100% Chromebook and charger returns** (or full payment for lost items) will earn a special treat from **Ms. Avery!**

Please start checking backpacks, bedrooms, lockers, and car seats now so all devices can be returned on time. Your cooperation helps us ensure school technology is ready for students next year.
