HHS’S SPRING PRODUCTION OF DISNEY’S THE LITTLE MERMAID: 🎬 Auditions for Hampshire County Elementary & Middle School aged students will be held Wednesday, February 19th at the HHS Auditorium from 5-7pm.

This is a great opportunity for our young, performing artists! Parents are asked to stay for the duration of auditions. Students are asked to prepare a short, simple song to sing. Students will also learn a short dance. If your child plans to audition, please contact Ms. Judy ([email protected]) and let her know!

It started snowing during auditions and these students aren’t afraid of the cold! ❄️ JUST WOW! We are so pleased and EXCITED after the 2nd round of auditions today! 🎬 Our students truly rose to the occasion and wow’d the judges with some outstanding talent! ….. *Mariah Carey voice*, “It’s TIIIMMMEEE”! 🎬 This Spring we are bringing Disney’s The Little Mermaid to life on the HHS stage! If you are a current HHS student and want to be part of the magic, come to auditions tomorrow (Tuesday) and Thursday!!! We need main characters, ensemble, and a tech crew! We are more than thrilled to begin this amazing experience with you! ❤️ — Please reach out to Ms. Judy or Mr. Goodridge with any questions. We will be holding auditions for Hampshire County Middle and Elementary School Students at a later date for a fun group number!

AUDITION POST regarding our Spring Production, Disney’s The Little Mermaid!: (See EDIT to original post)-

EDIT: Auditions will now be on Tuesday and Thursday. Tech crew interviews will also be Thursday. See everyone there!

WHEN & WHERE:
Auditions for current HHS students who aspire for a role in the production will be held January 14th & 16th (Tuesday and Thursday) from 3:30-6pm in the HHS Auditorium. Mandatory tech crew interviews will be held the 16th (Thursday) 3:30-6pm.

REQUIREMENTS AND BREAKDOWN:
Tuesday (performers): Dancing (learn) & Acting.
Be prepared to learn a short choreography piece taught by Ms. Judy. Have a brief monologue prepared to perform privately. If your monologue piece requires another person to read with you, that can be accommodated by us.

Thursday (performers): Dancing (perform) & Singing.
Students will perform the short dance they learned the previous day and sing two songs of their choice.

Thursday (tech crew): Students will be interviewed individually. Be prepared to answer questions regarding leadership and mindset. Experience and attitude are both valued!

FURTHER DETAILS:
Please keep in mind the music and monologue you choose for your audition should be a good representation of your strengths as a performer. Please be careful to choose within a skill range that is comfortable for you. You need to prepare one slower paced song and one upbeat/ quicker song (both approximately 1 minute each). You will need to perform with the accompaniment track (instrumental only or a karaoke version). The only voice we want to hear is yours! Monologues do not need to be lengthy, but should (again) show your strengths!

All auditions will be recorded. All auditions & interviews will be private with Ms. Judy and Mr. Goodridge present. You will need to list your top 3 role preferences.

Remember- anything can happen! Regardless of experience (performers & tech crew), EVERYONE will be given a fair opportunity. Our goal is to have the BEST FIT of cast & crew for this production! If you have experience- great! If you don’t have experience- great!

Please come prepared and with a positive, open mind! It is part of our mission to continuously cultivate a healthy, positive learning environment! We are excited to have this opportunity for HHS students!
