2025 Fall Crawl is this Saturday October 18th!

Free bottles of water, Wi-Fi, a 25% plant sale, and 2 scavenger hunts (one for younger kids and one for everyone else). We have color property maps for the self-guided tours as well as mini-farm tours of the Perennial Sheet Mulch Garden. We’ll have knowledgeable staff members strolling through the yard to answer your questions. And don’t forget to take pictures as the property is beautiful and picturesque.
Homestead Farm Tours provides presentations and a self-guided walking tour exploring our permaculture based sustainable agriculture systems and perennial food producing crops. You can explore swales, food forests, rainwater harvesting, plant propagation and so much more.
Self-guided Walking Tour: You can meander around the landscape and explore the many sustainable and regenerative practices we have implemented on the property. To assist with the tours, we have many poster boards situated throughout the landscape explaining various concepts.
Animal Encounters: Meet our flock of laying chickens and explore how we use brooders, chicken tractors, coop and run, and free range. We also have a flock of guinea fowl that you will hear long before you see them.
Facilities: Restrooms and a picnic table are available for guests.
Special Notes: Suitable for families and kids of all ages. Mostly handicap accessible – most of the grounds are mildly sloped and only a few areas have steps but do have alternate paths.
Ideal for those interested in sustainable and regenerative agriculture and animal care.
Our plant sale runs from the day of fall crawl through the end of October. Our nursery will be closing for the year on November 1st. If you plan on coming after the fall crawl, please schedule an appointment as we are already booked for several days during this time.
We will have a large variety of food bearing perennial trees, shrubs, and herbaceous perennial plants for sale. We are a fully licensed and inspected nursery. We will also be selling enrollment into our more detailed farm tours and our homesteading classes.
Fall Crawl runs from 10AM to 4PM on Saturday October 18th. Great Escape Farms and Homestead Farm Tours is located at 167 Two-Lick Lane, Romney, WV just outside of Three Churches.
