College Prep Weekend is coming to WVSDB! 🎓

Thinking about college? Let’s get ready for what comes next! ➡️

In collaboration with WVSDB Public School Partnerships, the Career Academy for Postgraduates (CAP) is hosting College Prep Weekend, October 16–18, 2026, in Romney, WV.

This weekend will allow students to explore:
🎓 College applications & admissions
💰 Financial aid & scholarships
♿ Accessibility & accommodations
🤝 Resources and support for college success
💬 Connections with DRS, HEPC, colleges, and DHH and VI college students and graduates

🚐 Lodging and transportation support are available.

Two Exciting Ways to DISCOVER WVSDB this October! 🐻

This October, Discover WVSDB is bringing students together for a week of hands-on learning and unforgettable experiences.

🏹 Hunter Safety is open to students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) or Low Vision (VI) and features hunter safety education, outdoor skills, ASL-accessible instruction, and a Youth Hunt.

🦯 Cane Quest & White Cane Day is designed for students who are Visually Impaired (VI) and offers opportunities to practice mobility skills, build independence, connect with peers, and celebrate White Cane Day.

✨ FREE to participate
🏠 Lodging & meals included
🚐 Transportation available from select locations
