A Friendly Wednesday Warning!
Wednesday is Picture Day AND School Spirit Day!
Before anyone has a mini morning panic about what to wear, here's the good news: you can do both!
Want to wear your favorite outfit for pictures? Go for it! Pictures are taken in the morning and are usually finished before lunch. Then students can bring their blue, gray, and white Spirit Day clothes and ask to change during their lunch period.
So, remember: Picture outfit in the morning
Pioneer colors (blue, gray, and white) for Spirit Day
Ask to change at lunch
No need to choose between looking your best in school pictures and showing your Pioneer pride—you can have both!

Governor Patrick Morrisey has proclaimed September 24, 2026, as West Virginia School Service Personnel Day. School service personnel are the secretaries, cafeteria workers, custodians, bus drivers, and others who form the foundation of our schools. ✏️

To all school service personnel statewide, thank you for all you do every day. 🍎

We have Spirit Week next week! Monday is PJ Day (school-appropriate); Tuesday is Twin Day; Wednesday is school spirit day (blue/gray/white); Thursday is Hippie/Tie Dye Day; Friday is Character Day (favorite movie or book character -- no hats, masks, or face paint). Show some school spirit and have fun!

Next week is spirit week! Dress up and show your Pioneer Pride!!💙🤍📣

School picture packets were sent home yesterday. School photos will be taken on September 30. Students paying in person should bring their payment packet that day. Smile!

Parents: The Health Dept. will be visiting Romney Middle School and other county schools on Wednesday, September 30 to offer the Flu vaccine to staff and students in those schools.

If interested, please do one of the following:
- Have your child pick up a consent form from the School Nurse.
- Call your child's school and request a consent form. It can be sent with student or faxed.
- Pick up a consent form from the Health Dept.

The completed consent form needs to be turned into the School Nurse no later than 9/24/26.
