Last week, our girls competed at state conference! The girls competed in various competitions, explored workshops, and had a wonderful time with their peers! We would like to recognize their achievements!

🥇Exploring Non-Core Teaching Careers- Hannah Haines
🥈Project Visualize- Alessa Unruh and Summer Haines
🥉- Lesson Planning and Delivery: CTE- Aubrey Custer
🥉- Children’s Literature K-3- Giselle Haines
🥉- Exploring Support Service Careers- Summer Haines

Aidan Mccrory and Carla Eyler also competed and really excelled with their competitions!

👩‍💼- As Hannah Haines ends her year of serving as the WV educators rising VP of Sponsorship, Summer Haines was voted into Vice Presidency for the state!

Our girls had an amazing week! We are super excited to see everyone in Portland, Oregon for Nationals in June! 🩵

We wanted to take a moment to recognize six of our educators rising members for being inducted into National Technical Honor Society this morning! Help me in congratulating Hannah Haines, Aiden Mccrory, Alessa Unruh, Summer Haines, Carla Eyler, and Jillian Thomas on this amazing achievement! 🕯️

Today we are heading to Charleston for the Educators Rising Fall Leadership Conference! Our girls are so excited for the workshops and new experience that will come these next few days.

LEMONADE🍋🥤

Tonight at the last home HHS football game of the season we will be selling lemonade! We will have it in flavors raspberry, strawberry, peach, and regular! We will also be raffling off a WV themed basket donated from Andersons Corner, Jennifer Nation, and Mrs Sulsers Class! Make sure to look for us at kickoff tonight!

Hello! My name is Jenny Nation. My passion is education! This is my 16th year of teaching and second year leading the Grow Your Own pathway and serving as the Educators Rising teacher leader where I mentor future teachers through classroom experiences, competitions, and service learning. My favorite Educators Rising moment is watching these students grow as an Educator throughout the year and, of course, the silly moments they have on our trips!

Hi everyone, my name is Hannah Haines and I am your HHS educators rising 2025-2026 president! I am also one of the state vice presidents for WV educators rising! I am involved in peer helpers, link crew, grow your own, and fellowship of faith. My favorite educators rising event is the WV state competition. I plan to study secondary education after high school. I am so excited to meet new members and encourage people to become teachers!
