of Business also boasts a large number of international students. We are proud of the heritage of Shorter University and the tradition of offering a rich educational experience in a Christian environment. We are excited about the creation of The Hopkins Institute for Business Ethics. This institute, made possible by the generous gift of Col. and Mrs. Harvard V. Hopkins, not only offers instruction in ethical decision making, but also provides funds for an annual forum featuring a notable leader from a variety of fields including business, government, and medical communities. In a recent study of GPAs at Shorter University, Accounting majors earned a 3.61, the highest at Shorter. Ledbetter College of Business also offers a 150-hour program of study in Accounting, which is covered by HOPE and prepares students to sit for the CPA exam at graduation. In addition, the minor in Forensic Accounting has created significant interest among students and potential employers.
