Here's a sneak peek at one of the topics that will be discussed at the 2022 Conference for the Advancement of Mathematics Teaching (CAMT) in San Antonio, Texas on July 13th at 1:00 p.m. (CST) Other topics will include my number line to 10,000,000, strategies for fractions, elapsed time, weight, decimals, and money, and STEM activities.

* After that, I am sharing my teaching strategies with the Mississippi Hearing-Vision Project on Tuesday, March 8th at 4:00 p.m. CST - virtual

* Lastly, I am presenting at the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Conference in Indianapolis, IN on Thursday, March 17th at 11:30 ESD - in person

My students and I built an indoor, glow-in-the-dark miniature golf course at our school. They had to use math, apply problem solving skills, and collaborate. It was a fun and very beneficial activity for them. Here's a recent article in Inside Golf newspaper about our STEM project:

Jim Franklin, a life-long golfer, knows the benefits of participating in a sport. Franklin is a special education teacher at Elm Street Elementary in Rome, GA, and wanted to design a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) project to introduce golf to the students in his school.
