Today marks the day where several new laws go into effect. This includes Addy’s Law. With this law, fines have increased to $1,000 per offense beginning with the FIRST offense. Before it was only $250 for the first offense. You also run the risk of up to a 12 month jail sentence and your insurance company will be contacted for multiple offenses. Here’s to hoping more people pay attention and actually stop for a loading/unloading bus.

Georgia General Assembly, is one of the largest state legislatures in the nation. The General Assembly consists of two chambers, the House of Representatives and the Senate.

I think I’d be a millionaire if I got paid for the time I’ve spent going back and forth between the doctor, pharmacy, and insurance company since school got out for summer. We are now going on week 3 of the back and forth. And still nothing!

Friends and Family,

The boys are doing a book drive at school and would love your help. If you are able, please help them out! What better way to help shape young minds than to give them access to books?

Our school is having a Book Blast to raise money for my book list and my rewards until I've earned every book on my list. Any additional funds will help other students have books at home and my school to have books and resources for all of us. We'd be thrilled if you could support us!

Got some new reading material! If you have not researched IDEA, please consider looking this information up. This is easily accessible online as well as through Amazon (for about $25 plus shipping). A great website to bookmark is https://sites.ed.gov/idea/ which allows you to find more information for your state.
