Stay up-to-date on news and important info. in 2010, is a program provided by Rome City Schools and supported by Communities in Schools designed to help increase the graduation rate by providing "blended learning" classrooms that may better accommodate a student's personal learning needs. The intention of this program is to provide unique, personal learning opportunities for students purposefully seeking an accelerated pathway to graduation, without compromising or limiting educational rigor or state standards. The smaller classroom environment lends itself to more student-to-student and teacher-to-student support, creating a place of acceptance and a family-like setting reducing non-academic obstacles such as bullying, negative peer pressure, increasing acceptance of individual differences and strengths. More than 90% of students entering the PLC graduate high school (on-time or ahead) to pursue college or workplace endeavors.
