Bellamy Elementary brought families together for a multicultural community night focused on celebrating the diversity of its student population.

Our Multicultural Community Night is tomorrow from 5-7 pm. There will be a book raffle for All
Are Welcome by Penfold and Kaufman and When Stars are Scattered by Jamieson and
Mohamed. Students will receive passports when they come in, then go around to country tables
to learn about the countries, taste country food samples, do country art activities, play games,
and get their passports stamped! There will be free pizza, tacos/burritos, and dessert served in
our cafeteria, and cultural dancers in the gym! Students will be able to visit the Jervis Library
table to choose a free book and visit Connected Community Schools. All are welcome to this
event, and we hope to see you then!

Fourth grade students in Mrs. Sabia’s class enjoyed a fun and engaging Cinco de Mayo learning rotations this afternoon! Hosted by our student teacher, Mrs. Allen, students explored maraca symmetry, salsa tasting, a festive photo booth, “culture in a bowl”; Mexican street corn, and learned about the history of Cinco de Mayo while enjoying traditional Mexican music.

A big thank you to Mrs. Allen, Mrs. Surprenant (ENL), Mrs. Bumbolo (PTO President), and Mrs. Sabia.

Attention, Agents! Our Book Blast event starts next week. We will set off on a mission to build our students' home libraries. Follow the steps on the Treasure Map coming home next week to embark on this operation to earn exciting prizes and books. 🗺️🌟 booksarefun
